Elderly's senses
Sight
Not so sharp
Hard to see moving objects
Short/long sighted, or both
Hearing
Hard to hear softer sounds
Sounds usually have to be more distinct to be heard
Smell
Usually stronger scents are easier to be smelt
Touch/movement
Slow pace
Sense of touch is not so sensitive

Weaker taste buds

Design and make a basket with rotatable wheels to make it easy for the elderly to push, pull and maneuver the trolley.

The Elderly
Question 1: Who are the elderly in Singapore?
They are the senior citizens, men and women above the age of 59.
Question 2: List and describe 3 reasons why the greying population in Singapore is increasing rapidly?
1. There was a big birth increase during the time they were born, because the government was encouraging more children per household as they wanted Singapore's poplulation to remain stable and not decrease.
2. There is medical help for them to stay healthy and have longevity. There are also many charity organisations for less fortunate elderly to donate can food, bread, and such things to provide for the aging population.
3. There are many old folks home, old folks corner and such organisations for them to socialise, stay productive, do more activities, so they stay healthy and do not become brain dead.
